Cycling along the Soča river
The famous Soča river is one of the main Slovenian attractions. Its special blue/turquoise color really is something to be seen in person - why not to do it in an Eco-Friendly way with cycling along the perfect Soča cycling path?
This self-guided tour starts at our Bike Rental Point restaurant Žogica in the town of Solkan. Form there, you will start your cycling day on the bike path, away from traffic! After crossing the old town of Solkan, you cycle over the Soča river on a new cycling bridge - a fantastic sightseeing point on its own! Then you`ll follow the river upstream, stopping for refreshment at two recommended points before heading back to the start.
You will finish your Soča cycling adventure by having a fantastic 4-course seasonal lunch at our bike rental point Restaurant Žogica. This meal is included in price (drinks are excluded).

We offer the Soča river e-bike experience all year round. The most suitable time is certainly spring and autumn when the temperatures are the most suitable, and nature is dressed in its most beautiful colors. Early autumn is the time of grape harvest, which gives a special charm. If you visit us in the summer, you can also cool off in the clean Soča river on your trip!
The Soča cycling experience takes you along the perfect river bike paths. You only cycle on a main road through a village for less than 1km. The cycling path is not flat, that is the reason for using E-bikes.
E-bikes make the trip even easier and we do recommend using them over classic bikes!
The entire route is also suitable for cycling with young children (1-4 years) using a child seat or bike trailer - please let us know when booking.
The trip can be shortened or extended making it suitable for everyone.
Cycling is an outdoor sport, so you may get a few raindrops along the way! Always carry some spare clothes with you. In case of weather conditions that do not allow a safe organization of the tour, we reserve the right to postpone the reservation to a more favorable date or refund the purchase price.
Cycling by Soča river starts in Solkan at our bike rental point Ošterija Žogica
The recommended start time is between 9-10am. This way you will finish your cycling by 1-2p.m., perfect timing for included lunch!

kids riding in a child seat: 35€
kids riding in a cycling trailer: 55€

Cancellation conditions:
- up to 14 days before the trip €15 administrative costs
- up to 7 days before the trip: 30% of the trip price
- less than 7 days before the trip: 100% of the trip price
In case of unfavorable weather conditions, which make it impossible to carry out the tour safely, the dates can be changed free of charge or paid amount will be returned deducting administrative costs.
